Church Edit is part of the UK's leading Christian Software Company with our other product being iKnow Church - our church admin and mobile app software.
The development of Church Edit was started in December 2002 and the first site was launched in September 2003. Currently used by over 1,000 UK Christian organisations, Church Edit is an easy way to create a powerful website.
Church Edit have had a long relationship with The Church of England, since we started to run website seminars with Dioceses in 2009. These seminars were mainly focused on the content that parishes should have on their website and gave lots of ideas on what to include on their sites. The 90 minute sessions were provided to churches and then after a break were followed by an optional 20 minute demo of Church Edit. From 2009 - 2016 Church Edit held over 100 Church of England seminars at 23 Dioceses.
In 2018, iKnow Church was chosen to develop the new Church of England Life Events Diary - a tool to help churches administer their wedding, funeral, baptism and banns services. After 9 months of development, the Life Events Diary was launched in March 2019 having been built as a module of iKnow Church. Following the close partnership between iKnow Church and The Church Of England, The Church Organiser was launched in September 2023 and iKnow Church became The Church of England Partner for Administration Software.
As the platform for DC2, Church Edit has been working on a lot of additional features to enhance the websites for DC2.
